Our beginning
Started in a kitchen in Vaasa, Finland
Mai-Ami began on a kitchen counter in Vaasa, whipping raw shea butter carried over from family in West Africa until the texture was right. Word spread through neighbours long before there was ever a label.
Everything still follows that first batch: pure, ethically harvested West African botanicals — shea butter, black soap ash, cold-pressed oils — met with clean Nordic craftsmanship, short recipes and nothing that does not earn its place.
